2019-2020 Catalog

Developmental Education Academic Skills Area

Students who are not college ready may place into two or more developmental courses (mathematics, reading, and/or English) and can spend a semester working on their academic skills to be successful in 1000 or above courses. Skills and competencies that students will develop include, but are not limited to, arithmetic, algebra, reading, writing, grammar, spelling, computer, study skills, and utilizing WWCC resources. This program map will allow students to reduce their time in developmental classes by one semester at WWCC; increase success, completion and retention rates, plus reduce costs.
